Well hello there, and welcome to my brand new website! I’m Allison, and I also run Wild Joy Studios. I’ve been craving a slightly different space to share slightly different things though, so here we are. Part of the drive to make a brand new baby website was just, a branding idea I had. It was a bit all consuming though, and I really just wanted to get these colors, and ideas out into the world. So a site to share the knowledge I’ve accumulated while running my business, and to put some of my favorite creative processes to work was made.
What is a crone?
Generally speaking, the world thinks of crones as something like scary witches. But, the idea of a wise older woman sharing knowledge is a lot more than a witch from a fairytale. Crones symbolize knowledge, wisdom, and a type of femininity that I want to see made more mainstream. And what does Autumn have to do with any of this? It’s just my favorite, okay? Does that make me a little basic? Yeah, but frankly, calling something basic is pretty often a way for society to take the things that women and girls find popular and make fun of it. So we don’t do that here. Popularity does not make liking things bad. But we stray from our topic. (That said, this is a feminist, pro-LGBTQ space, and is welcoming to all, except the intolerant.)
What will this website offer?
A lot of things. I plan to blog about the things I’ve learned while running my wedding business. I’m also planning on putting a few digital items up for sale in the shop, that will help other businesses with their branding and time management. Eventually I would like to offer:
- A section of digital, easy to use mockups
- An offering of easy to customize branding packages
- Advice on how to make simple logos work for your business when you’re first starting out (hint, it’s all about the branding!)
- A place to help remove some of the stress of starting (or just plain running) your business or blog.
